LAURA ROMAINE

Laura Romaine is a painter who builds a realm of artifice and exaggeration. Based in Brooklyn, she works primarily in oil and acrylic. Her inimitable figures exude a carnal playfulness that revels in the tactile splendor of painting.

She earned her BFA from Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida in 2005 and earned her MFA in 2022 from the New York Academy of Art in Tribeca, New York, where she completed a prestigious one year Chubb Fellowship in 2024. Her work has been shown in Austin, Dallas, and New York, as well as at Art Basel Miami.
